I want to start a weekly thing here also called Thankful Thursday. I want to take at least one day a week to express thanks. I am very thankful everyday I can get up and be alive, but I thought it would be great to have a place for me and for anyone else that wants to join in here and express it, put it out there in the universe and world wide web. So starting today, if you would like to, please leave a comment and let us know what you are thankful for today. It can be anything from the cup of coffee you hold to surviving cancer, everyone can find something to be thankful for.

Today I am thankful that this weekend I get to celebrate being a Mom! This is my 8th Mom's day and each one brings me back to the first one. The first time I got to celebrate that day being Josh's Mom. I love that every year Josh and Kate plant my Mother's day garden around the tree and I get to watch it grow all season. Thank you for choosing me as your Mom!

Awww man.... your post about Mother's Day and the poem you posted about moms on the message board yesterday have me feeling all sentimental.

So even though I joke about it, I'm very thankful for all the things (weird, neat, frustrating and funny) that Shawn and I have uncovered at my parents' house. All the pictures and hidden treasures have been a great insight into their lives, even though at times we've just scratched our heads and laughed.

Sooo many things on my list to be thankful for.

However, I think that right at this moment I'm thankful that I found a ponytail in my purse to put my hair up.

Though I washed it and took the time out to brush it out and have it look all girly and pretty, I'm over it being down and it's now up in a pony. Love that emergency pony tail holder!

  3. I am thankful for a husband who loves me, despite my many faults... he doesn't know it, but every now and then (like now) I look into his office and it just makes me smile knowing how hard he works to build his business and make a better life for us. I am very blessed and I love him very much....

Thanks for encouraging us to be mindful of being thankful, Rollie... its always a good habit to be into! :)

I am thankful for my family.
My mom for teaching me(through example) to be strong, independent and always care for others and their feelings.
My 2 children who everyday in their actions make me proud to be their mom.
My husband for being one of the most caring men I know with all his friends and family. He is a great husband and father.
